Leningrad region:

• Resolution of the Leningrad region Executive Committee dated 31.08.87 No. 383 in adoption of the "Interim Guidelines on water protection zones and special regime of the natural resource use in the Lake Ladoga drainage area and other water objects in the Leningrad region" (see Section 2.2.2);

• Resolution of the Leningrad region Executive Committee dated 12.12.87 No. 450 in adoption of the main parameters for water protection zones and protective belts of Lake Ladoga in the Leningrad region (see Section 2.2.2);

• Resolution of the Leningrad region Executive Committee dated 16.05.88 No. 187 "On the establishment of water protection zones and protective belts of small rivers in the Lake Ladoga drainage area in the Leningrad region" (see Section 2.2.2);

• Decree of the Head of the Leningrad region administration dated 06.04.92 No. 48 "On the adoption of water protection zones and protective belts of the rivers in the Lake Ladoga drainage area";

• Decree of the Leningrad region Governor dated 26.01.99 No. 19-pg "On the establishment of water protection zones of water objects in the Leningrad region and their protective belts", which included some rivers of the Lake Ladoga drainage area.

• Decree of the Council of Ministers, Karelia dated June 28 1991 No. 185 "On the measures for preventing pollution of water sources and raising the reliability of drinking water supply in Karelian ASSR"

• Decree of the Council of Ministers, Karelia dated October 31 1991 No. 302 "On identifying typical, unique and berry-rich mires as state natural monuments of republican importance;

• Decree of the Head of the Government, Republic of Karelia dated April 28, 1994 No. 174 "On organization of the "Ladoga skerries" national nature park in the Lahdenpohsky district, towns of Sortavala and Pitkaranta, Republic of Karelia";
